The Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention hosted a town hall meeting Tuesday night in the C-Tel room at Sheridan College. It was all about engaging community members to think in new ways about the culture of alcohol in our community.
Alcohol effects us all and the eight member panel shared their stories, offered their solutions and fielded questions from the attendees.
Panel member, Prevention Specialist, Bill Hawley, from Buffalo, says this is the time when we need to ask “Why?”
The town meeting was a starting point to open up the conversation about the problems Sheridan faces with alcohol abuse. Kelly Carroll is a clinical director for VOA says it's time to move forward.
Amy Albrecht, director of the Center for a Vital Community says it's time to be proactive and it's time to move forward, to mobilize to make change happen.
