The month of February has produced temperatures that resemble spring for a few days, only to drop back down to what almost feels like conditions that would be more appropriate for Siberia. Meteorologist Joe Lester with the National Weather Service in Billings says that the extreme fluctuations in temperatures is actually a sign that spring is not too far off.
The pattern will continue this week with one more nice day today, then temps will be dropping back down for the better part of the work week. Lester explains when the cold front will be moving in.
Lester indicated that along with the drop in temperatures that are expected, we'll more than likely also get some more snow as well, with anywhere from 3 to 6 inches possible.
