The Feast of Praise worship service will be Sunday, November 21st beginning at 7 pm at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
The bi-annual event was organized back in the early 1990's to allow talented musicians and singers the opportunity to perform for the community, and secondfold, to raise money for local and international help organizations, said co-organizer Juli Jarvis. She explains what the Feast of Praise is.
At its inception almost 20 years ago, Jarvis and co-organizers Marci Schueler, Wanda Meechum and Teri Brooks decided that funds would be split locally and with Compassion International, an organization Jarvis has been involved with since 1993. Jarvis will be presenting a photo slideshow of her trip to Thailand and the Philippines earlier this year, where she had the opportunity to meet a child she has sponsored since 1994.
For those that are interested in sponsoring a child through Compassion International in one of the 27 countries they serve, Jarvis said she would have information available for them.
The show on Sunday will feature the Bells of St. Luke's (Lutheran Church) which will begin performing at 6:30 to welcome everyone to the show.
Also performing will be the BHS Men's Choir, the Children's Choir from Meadowlark School, a Jazz combo, several high school students, mixed duets and duets with area pastors and their wives.
