A motorcyclist from Saskatchewan, Canada died at the scene Wednesday of a wreck on U.S. Highway 14A just a few miles west of Burgess Junction in Sheridan County. Nina A. Fonger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sergeant Stephen Townsend with the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Townsend describes the events leading up to the accident.
After the impact, Fonger was separated from the motorcycle and came to rest in the eastbound lane of travel. The driver of the other vehicle was able to stop his combination in a controlled stop in the westbound lane.
Townsend says the crash caused a temporary road closure of U.S. 14A for approximately two hours.
