The Department of Workforce Services will be hosting the Wyoming Workforce Expo next week in sixteen communities throughout the state – free of charge.
Joan Evans, Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, says “This event is targeted toward individuals facing unemployment benefits ending or who are currently experiencing employment challenges”:
She adds the event will “offer folks information that will help them plan their next steps…including enrolling in college classes, or obtaining state assistance of some kind, mental health resources, or finding a job.”:
In each community, the Expo will feature a resource fair with state agencies, community colleges, training entities, mental health services, veteran representatives, and numerous other partners. In addition to the resource fair, the Expo will also feature workshops where job seekers can fine-tune their résumé, learn about specific state benefits, and gain interview tips.
Also, the Department will host a virtual job fair during the Expo where job seekers can apply for jobs throughout the state. The fair will take place in Sheridan and Gillette on November 10th; for more information, call 307-672-9775.
