As the U.S. Senate debates H.R. 4899, the Disaster Relief and Summer Jobs Act of 2010, many remain worried about the federal government's spending habits. The bill that provides $59 billion in supplemental appropriations, and includes money for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, support for Haiti, disaster recovery money for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and additional funds for the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
