Entries are now being accepted for the 2012 Sheridan County Calender Contest. Mary Ellen McWilliams with the Sheridan County Historical Society says that the contest, now in its 6th year has really taken off.
McWilliams said that all of the profits from the project go to support the Sheridan County Museum and that the Sheridan County Historical Society recently received a $1,050 donation from Photo Imaging Center from the in-store sales of the 2011 Sheridan County Calender. Entries will be accepted through October 14th and are limited to three photos per person and must be taken within 100 miles of Sheridan.
Prize money for each contestant that has their photo displayed in the calender is $100, which is made possible by donations from 12 local businesses. Entries will be accepted at Photo Imaging Center until October 14th. Voting on the entries will be October 17 through the 29th. Photographers can pick up entry forms and rules at Photo Imaging Center in Sheridan.
