Empower Wyoming will be having a Kids Ambassador meeting this coming Monday, September 24 at the Buffalo Wesleyan Church on North Main Street.
Empower Wyoming offers personal safety training to children in our communities and they are recruiting adult volunteers that are willing to learn to help train these children.
According to information provided by Francine Russell with Empower Wyoming, they are looking for people with a good heart, enthusiasm and a positive attitude coupled with good communication skills and willingness to work as a team. Interested persons should have a desire to end the cycle of violence and create a safer world and be able to commit to a set amount of time to the cause.
She explains further the type of person that would fit their mold.
The meeting on Monday is a chance for those interested to get to know the program better, and to see if it is a good fit for both the prospective trainer and Empower both, Russell said.
The meeting will be at the Buffalo Wesleyan Church at 980 N. Main Street on Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
Contact Francine Russell at 620-1511 for questions or those that would like to attend to RSVP so enough materials can be provided to everyone.
Those accepted as Ambassadors for Empower Wyoming must submit to an F.B.I. background check at their own expense, which is $28.
