40-year-old Clearmont resident Camie Paumer was sentenced Tuesday in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the details.

District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement that was reached between Paumer and the State in March. Fenn sentenced Paumer to 4 to 7 years in prison on three Felony Forgery charges that will run concurrent to each other; 6 months each on two misdemeanor charges that will also run concurrently, and 5 to 7 years on a Felony Larceny charge that was suspended in lieu of 7 years of supervised probation once Paumer is out of prison.

The felony charges are from when Paumer was employed with the former Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan between October of 2010 and January of 2011. The misdemeanor charges are from when she was employed with A&B Buildings of Sheridan. Prior to the sentence being handed down, an emotional Paumer stated to Judge Fenn that she prayed for the Court's compassion when considering her sentence. She also apologized for what she'd put the childcare center and A&B Buildings through, and what she has done to her family.
