At last week's Johnson County Commissioner's metting, Commissioner John Gibbs gave an update on the progress of the document transfer by Elimidoc, former assistant county attorney Barry Crago's company hired by the county to perform the work.
Elimidoc is taking hard copies of records and documents from the previous county attorney and transferring them to a digital medium for the county to more easily store them.
Gibbs details where the process is now.
Based on Elimidoc's earlier estimates, Gibbs said, the remaining 73 boxes of records should contain about 1,580 pages each, for a remaining page count of 115,340.
The estimated total cost of digitizing all the documents is $11,534 with 2/3 of the amount expected to be billed this fiscal year and the remainder billed in FY 2013.
