This year’s summer exhibition at the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery features the work of artists, Pamela Kendall Schiffer and David Bungay. Called “Elemental Nature,” the show features 58 paintings and prints which focus on the natural world, particularly the American West.
Gallery director Sharon Dynack notes that although both artists live in southern California, they both have quite different and unique styles.
Schiffer works in oils, watercolors, and pastels and what does she think of Wyoming?
Past Fellow of the Ucross Foundation, Bungay brings a modernist view of the nature he paints and finds the cold, gray desolate winter plains of Wyoming right up his alley.
The “Elemental Nature” exhibit runs through September 3rd. The Ucross Gallery Foundation is located at 30 Big Red Lane in Ucross and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 until 4 each day. For more information call 307 737-2291.
