(Update 9 am Monday, Oct. 10): The couple was found on Saturday at about 4 pm stuck in the mud on a back road just north of the Montana border with no injuries. Sheridan Search and Rescue used the Garmin GPS installed their Chrysler 300 to locate them. They were transported to the relative's house located on Lower Powder River Road near Arvada by two Search and Rescue personnel.
Authorities are searching for an elderly Minnesota couple that were traveling to their granddaughter's residence in northeast Sheridan County on Friday but never arrived. The couple was last known to be traveling through Gillette en route to the residence in a rural area of northeast Sheridan county, driving a silver 2010 Chrysler 300 with Minnesota license plates 696ETU.
The couple called their granddaughter via cell phone at 1:45 pm on Friday, Oct. 7 and said they were in the Gillette area, but that was their last known location.
Anyone with information concerning their whereabouts should call Sheridan Search and Rescue at 307-674-7827. Sheridan Search and Rescue and the Sheridan County Sheriffs Office are conducting the search.
