Wyoming Department of Education Interim Director, Jim Rose, spoke over video chat to district superintendents of Wyoming's schools on Friday. He gave an update as to what he intends to do between now and early December, when Governor Matt Mead will appoint a permanent director.
The Enrolled Act, which followed Senate File 104, delineates some specific duties for the new state superintendent of public instruction. Rose explained what his focus will be in the meantime.
Rose said one of the duties of the state superintendent will be to prepare a report each year, due by October 15, documenting the general status of and any shortfalls found within the education system in Wyoming.
