Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery released information on the nearly-complete Economic and Community Development Master Plan,
saying public workshops will be held next month for citizens to give their input on the plan.
Elected officials from Buffalo, Kaycee and Johnson County will use the information from the study to expand existing local business; lower unemployment rates; increase the number and types of jobs available; decrease the amount of sales tax losses to the cities and county from purchases made outside the county; and determine how to increase tourism.
Montgomery tells us more about the Master Plan and the upcoming public workshops.
MCS Strategies has been working on the Master Plan and will incorporate information from the public workshops in the finalized version of the plan, which should be completed in May.
