While there were many topics of interest that were brought up at the two-day legislative forum in Sheridan this week, one recurring theme was that of economic development. The Sheridan Area Economic Development Task Force was formed almost a year ago to bring groups and agencies in Sheridan together to work on one common goal, economic development. City of Sheridan Planning Director and SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs explained to legislators how the task force has benefited Sheridan.
Briggs went on to explain SEEDA'S role in the task force.
SEEDA recently applied for a $50,000 planning grant through the Wyoming Business Council for the Career and Technical Education Training Study. The CTET study would expand on a 2007 target industries study conduced by the consulting firm of Wadley Donovan.
