Sheridan Fulmer Public Library along with the 23 county libraries in Wyoming have been working to sign a deal to provide ebooks to patrons, and that service should be available in the next week or so.
The state library has worked toward an extensive contract with 3M but there have been delays, so they wanted to offer some sort of ebooks service in the meantime. Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Executive Director Cameron Duff tells us what a new contract with Freading.com will offer.
Check outs will be for two weeks, the same as a book, but this service can be done from home by logging into the library's system. Duff explains some of the differences in checking out an ebook from the traditional book.
Duff said that this was one of the library board's big goals for the year and this is exciting news for everyone.
Duff said that the service should be available by February 15, but that date has changed before. For more on the upcoming offering from the Library, be sure to tune-in to Public Pulse this morning as Cameron Duff will be host Kim Love's guest. That's at 9:10 am this morning on NewsTalk 930 KROE.
