DWS Examines Unemployment, Wage Stats

The Department of Workforce Services has released this month's unemployment numbers, and though the unemployment rate is down significantly compared to last year's numbers and the national average, some experts aren't overly optimistic.

Senior Economist, David Bullard, says this month's unemployment rate in the Cowboy State, 4.9 percent, doesn't necessarily mean the economy is in better shape than anywhere else in the nation.

Job growth in the state had trended in only a few key industries.

The average weekly wage in Sheridan County is now $703, a $6 increase from last year.
