The annual Downtown Sheridan Association Wine Festival welcomes guests tonight at the Historic Sheridan Inn. Spokesman Robby Smith says this is the major fundraiser of the year for the DSA.
Smith adds that this year, they will also be working with the Sheridan County Conservation District to establish a rain garden at the old Maverik building and park at the corner of South Main and Coffeen in Sheridan.
As for the wine tasting festival this evening, tickets are now $45 at the door, which gets guests tastes of many wines, enjoyment of heavy hors d'oeuvres, and tours of the completed guest rooms in the Inn. And something new this year, Smith tells us, are personally painted wine glasses by twelve local artists.
The theme this year is western – hence the name “Wild West Wine Fest” -- so attendees are invited to dress in their cowboy attire. Doors open at 5:30 and tickets are available at the door.
