Friday, March 2nd is National Dress in Blue Day as March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month. Raising awareness, celebrating survivors, and helping patients in need is the impetus behind National Colorectal Cancer Awareness month. Sheridan resident Dana Barton knows all too well the dangers of colon cancer.
Barton says that getting checked for the disease and raising awareness about it can go along way in prevention of colon cancer.
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States and affects one out of nineteen Americans.
