Former Secretary of Defense for the Bush Administration, Donald Rumsfeld, joined Public Pulse host, Kim Love, on Newstalk 930, KROE Tuesday morning. He said he's reasonably pleased with the anti-terrorism measures put in place after 9/11, and says our safety today is what it is because of the tough decisions made a decade ago.
Secretary Rumsfeld said he thinks the attacks in Benghazi took the present administration by surprise, and even speculated as to why there may have been a cover-up in the days following the attacks.
Rumsfeld also discussed President Obama's contradictory behaviors in criticizing the prison in Guantanamo and enhanced interrogation techniques, but keeping the facility open.
The former Secretary of Defense also plugged his book that was released earlier this year, “Rumsfeld's Rules: Leadership Lessons in Business, Politics, War and Life.” To hear the entire interview with Former Secretary Rumsfeld, click here.
