Bronc riding, steer roping, and polo – all done in the spirit of the wild, wild West – it was the 21st Annual Don King Days held over this past Labor Day Weekend at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.
No arena fences for these cowboys; Don King Days is the only one-of-its-kind rodeo to be found that puts onlookers smack dab in middle of the action. Bruce King explains.
Seems like it would be a tad bit dangerous.
Don King Days was named after world renown saddle maker Don King, Bruce’s dad.
The Wyoming Steer Roping Finals is all part of Don King Days and Rocky Peterson was the overall winner for the second year in a row. Chris Glover, celebrating his 50th birthday on Labor Day Monday, took second.
