District 2 Prepares Interim Meadowlark Site

Sheridan School District 2 Board of Trustees met for their May meeting Monday night.

The Wyoming School Facilities Commission last month met with Superintendent Craig Dougherty and others to approve the use of $640,000 for Capital Construction Emergency Funds for the Sheridan Jr. High Hill Stabilization Project. The Commission also held meetings Monday morning to begin the planning and design of the new Meadowlark Elementary School.

District Facilities Director Julie Carroll tells us what needs to be done to the interim Meadowlark School.

And as for the demolition and abatement of the current Meadowlark?

The Sheridan Rec District, which currently uses the interim Meadowlark building, will move their community center to the former Woodland Park School site.
