At Monday night's Sheridan County School District 2 Board of Trustees meeting, the principals from all of the District's elementary schools gave their yearly update on their Improvement Plans.
Each displayed a passion for their individual school, but also a collaborative spirit, albeit a “friendly competition, among the group. All discussed the positive results of the Positive Behavior in Students, or PBIS, plan for improving pro-active discipline procedures.
District Director for Elementary Education, Scott Stults, was very proud of the presentations given.
Of note, Trustee Rich Bridger asked Sheridan Junior High School Principal Mitch Craft if he has seen any difference in the 6th graders entering his school since the implementation of PBIS at the elementary level.
We'll have more from the District 2 board meeting later this afternoon.
