For the past 26 years, the Disabled American Veterans have carried the colors at the front of the WYO Rodeo Parade. And this year was no different. Howard Fenton with the organization says throughout the day they were selling Forget Me Not flower pins that commemorate veterans that are hospitalized or in the state veterans' home.
Fenton says Sheridan for the most part recognizes the significance of the sacrifices veterans make during service to the country. And he says that's for a reason.
He says it's not just their organization that's looking for support. It's each veteran, including those who might have come back from a tour of duty missing a limb or with a mental or physical disability.
