For most of the day Thursday, the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near the Rock Creek exit were closed due to an accident involving two semi-trucks and multiple passenger vehicles.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation closed the roadway at 9:04 a.m. on Thursday morning, reopening it at approximately 3 p.m. Public Information Specialist for WYDOT, Ronda Holwell.
Holwell said that several of those involved in the accident had to be transported to the hospital. But she said none of the injuries were very serious or life threatening.
When asked what it would take for WYDOT to close the Interstate, Holwell had this to say.
Holwell also says road crews with the department will continue to plow snow, sand slick areas and attempt to keep state highways open for the traveling public - both during and after storms.
As a reminder, she says to remain watchful for the flashing lights of the snow plows and remember to slow down.
