Funky Monkeys, Fuzzy Pandas, Raging Rams, Mooing Elephants and another 53 teams converged on Casper College this past weekend for the State competition of Destination Imagination.
DI is a program in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending challenges. Big Horn Elementary coach Becki Arneson said, “This is an opportunity for kids to compete and use their creativity and knowledge to solve a variety of challenges. It brings out the leadership, team-building, and problem solving skills in these kids.
It's a kid's world; the best part is the kids have to do this all without adults telling them what to do!
School District 1 garnered five 2nd Place finishes. 1st Place winners head to Tennessee for the national competition.
