CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has cited two men who bought five small buildings that were the source of asbestos contamination at the University of Wyoming in Laramie last year. The buildings next to the Bureau of Mines Building were removed to make way for a new building under construction that will house university botany and zoology collections.
Department and university officials say debris containing asbestos was left behind after the buildings were removed. The department last month cited Mason Skiles and Dan Smith, both of Laramie, for allegedly failing to comply with state air quality standards and regulations.
