Decker Coal Company General Manager, Tim Fagley, said his company plans to double mine production in the next year. Fagley gave a comprehensive overview of the mine at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday and said the mine is currently producing 3.5 million tons of coal per year,and is shooting for upward of 7 million tons. He said the mine's expansion on this scale could create 60-80 new jobs in the area, along with support jobs in the community. Sheridan Media is anticipating an interview with Fagley next week.
