The deadline for entering floats in the Johnson County Fair and Rodeo Parade is coming up. Hannah Stepenoff has the details.

With the Johnson County Fair and Rodeo coming up on July 27, Buffalo Chamber of Commerce officials want to remind the community that there are forms available for those wishing to participate in the parade.

The theme this year for the parade, is “We are Farmers, We Grow It” and those who wish to enter their floats must turn in forms by July 30 at 5 p.m. The parade is scheduled for Saturday August 2nd. Here is what chamber office assistant Brittiny Morrison had to say about the reasoning behind this year's theme.

All floats are $25 per entry, she said, but nonprofit organizations can enter floats for free. Those who miss the deadline will be able to participate, she said, but they will not be able to compete in the annual float judging competition and will be added to the back of the line.

The forms can be found at the chamber office on S. Main Street or call them at 307-684-5544.
