The deadline is coming up to apply for the tax refund program that offers those 65 and older financial benefits as a return of several taxes collected by the state. Kim Deti, with the Wyoming Department of Health, explains where funds come from.
Refunds are also available for people 18 and older that are 100 percent disabled, who qualify. Single individuals can only apply if their income is less than $17,500 and married couples have a limit of $28,500, according a release from the Wyoming Department of Health. Refunds are based on that actual-income with a maximum of $800 for qualified singles and $900 for qualified couples.
