Dayton Town Council Offers Special Recognition For Employee During Meeting

The Dayton Town Council met in regular session last night and they recognized Town Treasurer Susan McLean for her years of service to the community. McLean retired after 30 years with the town. Councilor Bob Alley says the town has lost a great asset.

The Junior Council Members asked the Council to let the school use the portable video equipment for the homecoming festivities at Tongue River High School this Friday. Plans are for the students to watch a movie on the football field after the homecoming football game. Students plan to hold their homecoming dance on the field on Saturday night, as well.

The Council was informed that the band shell in Scott Bicentennial Park was vandalized recently. In response, the Council decided to begin closing the park and locking the gates at dusk.
