The Dayton Town Council had the second reading of their Town Budget at their first regular meeting of June Monday evening. Dayton Mayor Bob Wood tells us.

Mayor Wood says that they will need to dip into their reserves by about $200,000. The third reading of the 2010 Budget will be Wednesday, June 16th.

In other business, Council approved a variance request not to meet residential setbacks on property owned by Lori Landkamer.

And as has become the custom in Dayton for the past several summers, a Yard of the Month was chosen. The winners for the month of May are Jim and Sheila Watt at 406 Main Street in Dayton. Mayor Wood says the program has been a great incentive for their community.

Also, Mayor Wood said that the Craft Brothers will be performing at their park band shell on Friday, June 25th – all are invited to attend.
