The Dayton Town Council held a public hearing Wednesday night regarding the Town's snow plow ordinance. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has more.
The ordinance was passed in April of 2009, and this is the first winter season that the law has been enforced. There have been a handful of residents who have expressed their disapproval of the ordinance to the Council, citing that the times that residents can't park on the street is too restrictive. Dayton Mayor Bob Wood explains that there may be a possible policy change to the ordinance.
Wood tells us about another policy change that may be forthcoming that has to do with continuing to work with residents that have no place to park their vehicles.
Wood said that the months that the ordinance are in effect will remain the same, which is November 1st through April 30th. The Council plans on taking action on the policy additions at their next regular meeting Monday March 8th.
