Every December, the Dayton – Ranchester Rotary hosts a Christmas dinner for the senior citizens in those two communities. Monday night, says Rotarian Warren Mischke, they had a wonderful time.
Along with the dinner and jokes from emcee Norm Anderson, the Boyle sisters, who attend Tongue River High School, clogged to Christmas songs for the group. Mischke added that because of generous donations from businesses in Dayton, Ranchester and Sheridan, every one of those who attended last night – about 146 in all – got to take home a door prize.
Of course, the event didn't just happen by itself, he says.
The evening concluded with a carol sing-along, ending with dimmed lights as the strains of “Silent Night” filled the room.
