Dayton's town council will review the Tongue River Valley Joint Powers Board's application for state funds at the council meeting next week.
The meeting is set for 7:30 Monday night at the town hall. The joint powers board was formed to explore a way to bring natural gas service to Dayton and Ranchester. A grant is being sought from the State Loan and Investment Board.
In other business, the council is expected to convene a hearing for this year's liquor licenses for the Mountain Inn Bar, Crazy Woman Saloon, Branding Iron Cafe, and the Corner Grocery, and to approve operating hours for bars. Council members are also expected to approve hours for the Corner Grocery to be open, and to approve catering permits for Crazy Woman Saloon, Mountain Inn Bar and Wyoming Wings, for Dayton Days this summer.
The council will consider a resolution supporting Governor Matt Mead's proposal for a statewide broadband.
