Dayton Council Hears Concerns Over Snow Plow Ordinance

The Dayton Town Council listened to several concerns that were raised by residents about the Town's snow plowing ordinance. The ordinance states that there be no parking on streets between 3am and 10am to allow for snow removal between November and the end of April. The ordinance, which is in its first year was modeled after one in Jackson that has been implemented since 1979.

Dayton Mayor Bob Wood says that the concerns were taken into consideration and that the Council will re-examine the snow plow ordinance next month.

The date the Council set for the work study on the Town's snow plow ordinance is February 24th at 7pm. The work study will take place at the Town Hall and Mayor Wood encouraged the public's participation in discussing possible amendments to the ordinance.
