There’s just something about a man in uniform that will turn most any woman’s head, and there was a lot of head turning from both genders Saturday night, as well over 150 people attended the semi-formal Fireman’s Ball at the Historic Sheridan Inn.

The fireman in their dress uniforms and the ladies in their finery, the community event says Debbie Dudrey, wife of Captain Chuck Dudrey, was a fun way to put a face to the firemen.

Vicki Grooms’ husband celebrated his 10-year anniversary with the department the end of January.  She knows, first hand, the dangers of a fireman’s job.

The ball was also a way for the wives and do a little team building of their own.

This was the 4th Annual Fireman’s Ball to benefit the Sheridan Fire/Rescue Local 276 Firefighters.  The Teka Brock Band provided the music for the evening.
