Over the past week, Carey Middle School principal Cindy Hill visited all Wyoming Counties to announce her intention to run on the Republican ticket for State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Jim McBride currently holds that seat.
A Wyoming native and University of Wyoming graduate, Hill was a teacher for many years before becoming principal nine years ago. She explains why she decided to run for the State Superintendent position.
Hill has spoken with many people on her around-the-state junket, and she shares concerns she's been hearing.
Between now and the Primary Election in August, Hill said she plans to go back to the communities around the state, and is looking forward to meeting more teachers and students in the 23 Wyoming Counties.
