The Sheridan County Commissioners approved a Clearmont Fire District Conditional Use Permit during a special session today. The purpose of the permit is to allow a fire station to be built on land which is zoned Agricultural. Commissioner Steve Maier:
He adds the new fire station location will be vital in reducing the response time to fires in these locations. This is especially the case during winter months because currently, the firetrucks are not housed in a heated building, forcing the trucks to be drained before the frosts hit.
