Saturday, the Culinary Arts Institute of Sheridan College held an open house to offer the public a little taste of what they do.
Tours were given throughout the facility on South Sheridan Avenue and folks had the opportunity to sample some really great food. Director Monty Blare tells us…
Enrollment at the Institute was full this year and next year’s enrollment is half way there. The open house was also an opportunity to make the public aware of some needs of the school.
In its sixth year, the Culinary Arts Program has drawn students from Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Colorado, Montana, Michigan and throughout Wyoming.
The Institute is much more than simply classes; the students also operate a restaurant with some very affordable meals.
Currently, the restaurant is open Thursdays and Fridays, 11:30-2 p.m. and 5:00-8:30 p.m. serving from their North American Cuisine menu.
