The Community Resource Center of Johnson County (CRC) is seeking input from county residents that will be compiled in a Community Needs Assessment to be used to acquire future grant funding through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program.

Haley Drake, CSBG Grant Manager with the CRC, explains the program and the importance of gathering the data from both communities.

The Needs Assessment includes surveys that have been sent out through the various entities that serve low income individuals in the county, in paper form and on-line, according to Drake.
Additionally, meetings that were held in Kaycee Thursday night and this morning in Buffalo were scheduled to compile information from all cross sections of the community, not just those that are low-income, and will benefit the assessment and community greatly, she said.

Although the meetings have already been completed and the consultant will be compiling the data soon in a report, Drake said there is still time for those interested in participating to submit their information for the assessment by contacting her at the CRC in Buffalo.

The contact information is listed with this story at sheridanmedia.com.
