Work on Buffalo's Crazy Woman Square revitalization project has finally begun, with equipment moving into the area of downtown to begin the process of constructing a band shell/restroom facility, a gateway arch, murals and other amenities in the city-owned property to attract visitors and make the area more user-friendly.
Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery siad the contract for the project was awarded to Fletcher Construction by the city council at their May 1st meeting. They have since begun construction on the project.
Montgomery tells us more about the project.
Construction will be scheduled so some events this summer and fall will still be able to be held in the square, Montgomery said, and the newly refurbished square will be available fully in the spring of 2013.
