The Three Poles Recreation Area is nearly ready to be opened to the public. There are small areas that still require fencing, and the Sheridan County Parks and Recreation Board adopted the rules for the area. County Commissioner Tom Ringley is a member of the recreation board:
The Public Land Users Committee is responsible for finishing the fencing of the area and expects to have that completed within two weeks. Now that the rules have been adopted, PLUC will post signs explaining those rules.
The 3 Poles Recreation Area is located on nearly 50 acres just off Beatty Gulch Road in northern Sheridan County. Sheridan County is leasing the land from the State of Wyoming specifically for off-road recreation.
