Over the last year, the County Public Works department has conducted a review of the development fee schedule. As a result they found that fees for most County services have not been adjusted in years. Under the proposal most fees will be increased between 20 and 30 percent. Some of the biggest jumps will include Planned Unit Development fees that would raise 40 percent from $500 to $700, and Mobile Home Park fees with 500 percent increases. The current Mobile Home Park Permit is $10 and that would rise to $50 under the proposal. Commissioner Terry Cram.
If the resolution passes when it’s next considered it would also create one master fee schedule for the County. Public Works Director Rod Liesinger tells us why that’s important.
The Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the new fees during their regular meeting on December 1st and will take final action on the proposals at that time.
