Warmer temperatures this weekend may cause flooding along low lying areas near creeks and streams. Officials with Sheridan County have begun to prepare for localized flooding by filling sandbags at the Road and Bridge shop. Sheridan County Public Works Director Rod Liesinger says that they are looking to have sandbags at the ready come Monday.
Liesinger said that there are several areas that experience flooding just about every year.
Liesinger said that those that need sand or sandbags can come to the Road and Bridge shop Monday through Thursday between 6 am and 4 pm. He added that if sandbags are needed outside of this time frame, contact the Sheridan County Public Works Office at 674-2920.
