Johnson County Planner Rob Yingling gave the County Commissioners his annual report during this week's meeting, explaining what his department has been doing and what they have accomplished in the last fiscal year.
The commissioners want an update on the problems with the 9-1-1 system and the GPS/mapping system from Assistant Planner Jim Waller. Yingling said he is making good progress, and he suggested Waller give an update to the commission at their next meeting.
Yingling has a “colossal mess” concerning two landowners that are at odds over a road easement and he said he and Waller will both be working on the issue in the Little Piney Estates Subdivision trying to clear that up as soon as possible.
The Planning and Zoning Commission want the commissioners to review the draft zoning regulations they have recently compiled. They are looking at scheduling public meetings on the regulations beginning in September.
