Sheridan County Commissioners say there's a mix-up on some of the property tax bills recently sent out.
In a release, county officials say the figures on the bills are right, but the name of the county treasurer and address are wrong.
Some of the tax bills were printed with Park County Treasurer Barbara Poley and the Park County address instead of Sheridan County Treasurer Pete Carroll and the Sheridan County address. The mix-up's been blamed on a switch of paper stock.
Sheridan County officials say anyone who received a misprinted tax bill just needs to cross out Park County and write in Sheridan County when sending in payments. But, they say, make sure to send the check to Sheridan County Treasurer at 224 S. Main Street in Sheridan. Corrected copies of property tax bills can be requested from the Sheridan County Treasurer, either by stopping by or calling the office.
