The Sheridan County Commissioners approved a contract with Fehr and Peers Consulting to conduct a traffic circulation and pedestrian access analysis around the Sheridan County Courthouse. Commissioners viewed several videos that showed a number of near accidents at the intersection of Brooks and Burkitt Streets. Sheridan County Public Works Director Rod Liesinger says that safety issues are what prompted the County to move forward with this study.
Fehr and Peers will work with the City and County throughout the traffic study process. The contract that Commissioners approved with the consulting firm is in the amount of $19,650.
