The Sheridan County Commissioners approved a $28 Million budget for 2010. The final budget is more than a 7% cut from last year. The commissioners also reviewed and accepted the annual financial statements. Commissioner Bob Rolston says the County stayed well under budget last year.
The County will contract with Zowada Recycling and Steel to remove the Acme Bridge from a County right of way. County Engineer Ken Muller.
The County originally had ideas of using the bridge elsewhere but the plans never came to fruition. Sheridan County will gain nearly $3,000 from the sale of the bridge and it will be removed by September 1st.
Commissioners approved renewal of their agreement with Rocky Mountain Ambulance. The contract had been reviewed annually, however this agreement extends the term to three years. The service will cost the County $200,000 each year.
