County Commissioners On The Move Again

The Sheridan County Commissioners are holding their regular meetings at Sheridan College again as the renovations continue on the 3rd and 4th floor of the courthouse. The offices of the 4th Judicial District Court judge and support staff will temporarily occupy the County Commissioners’ offices and meeting room.

The Commissioners awarded the bid for the Sheridan County Fairgrounds drainage project to Mountain View Builders for just over a quarter million dollars. Consulting Engineer Dave Engels talks about the next step.

Commissioner Tom Ringley noted that the project is very time sensitive as any delays could affect events scheduled for the 2010 season.

Sheridan County is applying for $250,000 from the Wyoming Business Council to retrofit the aging heating and cooling system in the old courthouse building. The total project is expected to run as high as $400,000. The application will be considered by the Council’s State Energy Office.
